Every-so-often we will be sharing our staff's bios because they're interesting people, and we think they're great!
‘A big THANK YOU to the fabulous team of staff, volunteers and service users at Safe and Sound Dorset for welcoming me to the role of Volunteer Coordinator with such open arms and hearts this year. I am passionate about supporting others and building community and am forever grateful to be part of an incredible team of women who feel the same!’
It's hard to believe I've been in post for over 6 months already! I've worked in the charity sector locally for over 25 years as an advocate, social welfare law adviser and community engagement facilitator. During this time, I have established positive working relationships with a wide range of voluntary and statutory organisations and community groups working in Boscombe. I have also worked hard to build trust within the local community and to connect with those who may be perceived as being more “difficult to engage” or on the edges of our society. I live in the heart of Boscombe with my husband and three children along with an ever-growing menagerie of rescued pets including my much-loved chickens and Pebbles the cat.
